JxDA Quick Bio!!
I'm currently working as the Human Resources Director at Third Coast Events, a Sales and Marketing Firm. In my role, I spearheaded strategic HR initiatives to optimize workforce performance and foster a positive organizational culture. My responsibilities included talent acquisition, employee development, and implementing HR policies aligned with business objectives. I successfully navigated complex employee relations issues and contributed to the overall growth and success of the company by ensuring a high-performing and engaged team.
I started with a smaller branch, Marquee Marketing Events, as a Marketing Associate, which is where my experience in setting up promotional events to further the brand recognition for the clients that we were working with. As the company merged with the larger branch, Third Coast Events, my role evolved into that of an administrative coordinator.
My passions for the entertainment industry drew me to work independently with artists and transfer my wealth of knowledge directly to their personal Brands. I have worked with musical and strategic savant, Jimi Poe, in curating a live music showcase for up and coming Houston Artsist called The God Inn. My role was to assist in the creative direction of the event, scout locations, organize vendors, and close the event with a lasting impression via spoken word. I have had the pleasure of working with a dynamic rising star, MAXX, in the realm of Artist Development. After gathering the necessary information on her overall vision of the brand and the current engagement approach, I formulated a content strategy that bridged the gap between where the current state of direction was and a step by step process to reach the established goals.
Last but not least, Angel Habibi, a phenom in the making, has been an experience in it of itself. His unique approach to the industry as a queer rapper has made it my mission to support in my organizing of studio sessions, valued imput in musical decision making, and emotional support due to our long standing 7 year friendship. I have a dedication to any artist I have the honor to work with, and I'm eager to learn and further develop my skill set with GxldBxz.
