BLOG PROFILE INTERVIEW

(Interviewed By Vanjoe)

1. I was born and raised in Rochester, New York, but l've been living in North Carolina for about 15 years now. I'm currently based in Winston-Salem.

2. I'm 30 years old

3. I started off writing stories as a child and as I got older, that creative writing turned into poetry and songwriting. I used to print out the lyrics to my favorite R&B songs to study how they were written, and eventually I started writing my own. Since then, music has become one of my biggest passions.

4. I'm inspired by Janet Jackson, Sade, Don Toliver, Travis Scott, Erykah Badu, Jhene Aiko, Chris Brown, and Kendrick Lamar just to name a few.

5. I work best when my space feels good. Depending on my mood or the type of song I'm creating, I'll either vibe out to similar music to get in the right headspace or I'll dive straight into beats and start free writing whatever flows naturally. Sometimes lyrics come first, other times it's the melody

6. I plan to take my career to the next level and keep growing both as an artist and a creative entrepreneur. I want to eventually become a mainstream artist, songwriter, and ghostwriter. I'm also looking forward to receiving support in expanding into other creative areas I'm passionate about like launching a clothing line, designing jewelry, and more.
